Barb Hawking
Co-Founder
Grant and Barb were married in 1980 and worked together for 35 years. First with Imperial Oil and later with their own company NRB. They raised three awesome kids – Natalie, Randi and Brett. In her free time Barb loves to golf, attend concerts, travel, garden, spend time at the cabin and with her grandkids, and she loves to read. She volunteers her time with the Heritage Manor Ladies Auxiliary and the Kindersley Library Board. Barb watched her husband pour his heart and soul into this business, and she is so proud to continue this with Randi and Darren.
Darren Gerwing

Darren has worked in the oilfield since 2004. He started as a swamper on a bed truck and picker moving frac equipment, drilling and service rigs, tanks and pipe. He also worked in a drilling mud yard loading and unloading product, drove winch tractors and bed trucks, and worked as a dispatcher. Darren has worked in the oilfield all over Alberta, Saskatchewan and north-eastern BC. He started driving at NRB in 2015 and took over the management of the business after Grant’s untimely death in 2018. Outside of work, Darren is an avid golfer and a snowmobile and racing enthusiast. He enjoys watching hockey, racing and football and spending time with friends and family.
Randi Hawking

Randi completed a double degree from the University of Calgary in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts. Shortly after, she moved to Kindersley to help her dad with the accounting and other office duties for the family business. Randi physically splits her work week between NRB and Pro-Bilt Structures/Pro-Plus Sales & Rentals, but is always available by phone for both businesses. She has volunteered with Special Olympics Kindersley and been a member of the Kindersley Library Board for over a decade. Outside of the office Randi likes to spend time with friends and family, read, play cards and plan events. She is truly honored to carry on the legacy of NRB.
Our Fleet
Our two tandem fuel trucks can each haul 16,000L (16m³) of methanol or varsol. Both of our 1-ton trucks are equipped with power end-gates for delivery of packaged products. We are able to deliver 8 drums at a time.
